What is a Pulse Oximeter?

Most of us do not often encounter the use of a pulse oximeter very often, but in the medical world, they are very important pieces of equipment where they are to monitor the treatment of patients in a variety of circumstances. A Pulse Oximeter is a patient's finger or thumb cut off and monitored the oxygen saturation of blood. She did not directly observe how would a blood test, but instead indirectly.
