The condition wherein the fluid pressure in the eye gets increased (intraocular pressure -IOP), is known as glaucoma. The increased pressure may result in the damage of the optic nerve leading to loss of vision. The treatment varies depending upon the category of the condition, open angle or closed angle. The remedy is sought either through medication or surgery.
